BACKGROUND
_Connecting for Life_ Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo
Suicide Prevention Action Plan sets out a vision where fewer lives are
lost through suicide and where communities and individuals are
empowered to improve their mental health and wellbeing. It contains
seven goals, one of which (Goal 2) focuses on supporting the capacity
of local communities to prevent and respond to suicide.
In line with Goal 2, and aligned to the National Education and
Training Plan **Apply on the website** developed by the HSE National
Office of Suicide Prevention (NOSP), a number of local actions are
concerned with the provision of access to suicide prevention and
self-harm training for the whole population, including priority
groups, community-based organisations and large workplace settings.
Suicide prevention training programmes available in Community
Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo include:
* LivingWorks START Online Training
